Thanks, Ileane. I’ve experimented with placing various things in various places, and for now, I’ve decided to leave the social bookmarking buttons at the bottom – so they don’t interfere with formatting of the post. Even the TweetMeme button goes at the bottom. Of course, that means it’s more likely visitors have to READ the post or care enough to look for the buttons…but I HOPE they’ll do both! (And leave comments while they’re at it. Comments are down there, too.) It’s a good suggestion, but I really did get quite frustrated with trying to format posts with buttons and things up there at the top.

Hi Holly,

I took a look at your blog and I think it’s pretty nice. I’ll look into it a little deeper later on. But the first thing I did was look for the Blog Engage button and I didn’t see it. I surfed around a bit and finally noticed that it was located at the very bottom of a post. IMHO, you might want to test it out by moving it up and using a bigger button. Brian has done a fantastic job and Blog Engage is really hot right now with a lot of people joining everyday. I think we all know to look for that button when we visit a new blog so it’s nice to see it right away.

Let me know what you think and how you make out.

Wow! Amazing article here Hesham! For me, who’s still learn to get revenues from my blog, this article give me a new horizon on creating contents, templates and advertisements at the same time.
For Holly, yes I’m a blogger who want to make money online. Lucky I found your article here and I start to read about marketing blog from now on.

Not that I’m complaining but I sometimes wonder if my readers are limited to bloggers like myself. Where are the non-bloggers? Where and what are they reading? Gosh, if I do decide to sell something it’s more likely I’d be selling to my own friends – in your perfect description a closed loop!

What a perfect gem of an article. I hope it afflicts some smug MMO guys. Or at least make them a bit willing to rethink their agenda.
