Everyone using Thesis theme probably is wondering how Thesis 1.7 will look like, and what new features will come a long with the new version of Thesis and of course Thesis developer licensed members are much more carouse about how Thesis 1.7 will help them to build powerful websites and how easy and fast their work is going to be, FamousBlogger blog is using Thesis theme by the way.
If you are a member of the DIYthemes community and using Thesis theme then probably you have received an email from Chris Pearson of DIYthemes talking a little bit about Thesis 1.7, this is the benefit of subscribing to feeds and newsletters, you always know about the good news earlier.
Chris Pearson says he will release Thesis 1.7 over the next couple of weeks, and developers will get a beta version to be able to test it, once the bugs are solved the final release of Thesis 1.7 will be available for everybody.
As well all know that Thesis 1.6 changes was much more in the theme design options, but Pearson says the coming Thesis 1.7 will bring out more technical features and enhancements, I was amazed while reading about it.

Thesis Options Management
It’s going to be fun to setup a new and fast new Thesis blog with our having to set each one of it’s options by hand, even sharing Thesis configurations with other with is going to be much easier as you will be able to save and restore Thesis conflagrations like fonts and design settings, and I love this feature, I means imagine how easy Thesis management will be while setting up a new blog.
Thesis SEO controls and details
I am so excited to see the new control of SEO optimization, Version 1.7 is promising to give the power of control and supply details, and add (noindex, nofollow, noarchive) to your blog, and also there will be a new page in Thesis Options Panel to control over all the details of your blog, like settings of Category and Tage archiving pages. isn’t that awesome?
Thesis Headline Filter
This simple filter will allow developers to show/hide headlines for more diverse post styles on your site, here is an example (note the absence of a headline and byline): Web publishing 2010, enjoy the interview video.
Thesis Internationalization
There were some parts of thesis 1.6 need treatment, but with version 1.7 Internationalization is solved and working much better after fixing some code issues.

Again and again I will repeat this, Thesis is great theme for me not because all the punch of options and enhancements it has, but getting my hands dirty with the code is much more fun with Thesis theme. Thesis is a Wordpress theme that teach you how to to play.

I love being able to change the title and description of the tag pages and the category pages. Chris has completely outdone himself and I cannot wait to see what 2.0 is going to look like.

Hi Hesham,
I know there is a huge Thesis fan club and I will be on board one day soon. In fact my daughter @TheBondGurl just started using Thesis, so I will be able to watch closely from behind the scenes. At least it’s good to know where I can come if I have questions for her (right here).
I think I need to watch the video and start following Personified too.

I guess the 1.7 version will be stopped in stead of V2.xxx. I heard somewhere that 1.xxx will stop at 1.6 and V2.x will be developed. Anyway, hope to see the new one soon

I’ve always used Thematic on my projects but have always admired Thesis theme from afar.
Interesting as I might give it a try soon as I’m currently making up my mind between Genesis and Thesis.

I love Thesis. Love, love, love. It’s what I use on all my new sites and what I’m converting all my old sites to. Even more important, it’s what I use on all my client sites.
The Options Manager is a dream come true. It will make setting up my blogs much more streamlined.

One thing I want to be in Thesis is header logo management.
I don’t know how can neat beckend theme like Thesis doesn’t have header logo management.
I think there is important to personalize and build a brand by adding header logo.
Hope this features can add on Thesis asap.

Thesis guys are more behind the coding to making it faster and of course SEO, probably Logo and header management will not be included in Thesis 1.7 but I believe it’s a good thing if they made is easy!

mmm, some times I don’t understand you well, anyways, I just try to blog about what readers ask me! and they still need this kind of posts about Thesis!
I hope that, for the people using the settings in Platinum SEO / All in One Pack, that they will be able to export those settings into the new SEO settings in Thesis 1.7. That video as a header is pretty amazing on Pearsonified.

and WOW..your theme is fully customized..i love your customization..its clean!
BTW, im using Thesis too and i want to have the Famous Blogger icon next to my comment like yours.
and how your customize your add a comment and track backs that has gray background and a square float at left..it was just nice to see them.

, although it’s actually not finished yet! there is some work to be done here.
If you want to style the comment and trackback title and count, give them background like the one I have simply find the “.comment_intro p” style in your costum.css file and change it to the following:
.comments_intro p { background-color:#666;background:none repeat scroll 0 0 #EEEEEE;border-left:4.4em solid #DDDDDD;margin-bottom:2.2em;margin-left:-1em;padding:0.9em 1.1em;}By the way, I got this style code from Chris Pearsons’s blog.
If you use firebug add-on for firefox it will make it much more easier to do all what you want with your blog. plz give it a try!
Ok thank you..i and one thing regarding your comment section… i found yours is very different from other Thesis user.
1. how did you put you put famosubloggers icon at the right inline with your gravatar?
2. the comment count. How you did it?
3. and the space/margin/padding between your comment text and the date.comment-count, twittip id is far, its beautiful because the long text didn’t wrap the gravatar at the left.
4. last but not least, i search on how to make the date move below the commentator name but i never found any tutorial of it..

I already use a Platinum SEO plug-in though, so I’m not sure whether the SEO options will give me something newer or whether they can work together. Let’s see!
