Now there comes a time when all bloggers do have a tendency to get that dreaded Blogger Block, where you just can’t think of what to blog about and every time you sit down to blog, you sit staring at the keyboard with nothing but blank thoughts!
I had this same problem sometime back and last year I decided that I would do some interesting on my blog on a daily basis, not only would I post like I normally do and also post article from my guest bloggers, but I would also do a Photo A Day which seems to be very popular at the moment.
Most of us these days have a digital camera and doing a Photo A Day is a great way to improve your photography skills as well as a lot of your blog readers find these sort of posts very interesting, also the search engines love a blog that updates on a regular basis, so you are befitting in several ways.
Just remember to take your camera out with you everywhere you go, you will be surprised by the amount of things that you can see that jump out and say “photo opportunity”, take photos of anything and everything, if you are out having a meal and trying something you haven’t eaten before, take a photo of it and then post it on your blog letting everyone know what you thought of the meal. The skies the limit and in time you will find that photographs will get better and you will see things you’ve never really noticed previously.
There are several ways of uploading your photos on to the internet, I personally use Flickr and have a “set” which is for my Photo A Day pictures, I than have a Flickr widget on the blog for up to date Photos and I also blog about the picture on the blog.
So this is just one way to improve your daily blogging, from experience I have found that my readers are enjoying my Photo A Day posts.

Yeah! Great advice. ACtually, I always have my camera with cause I guess I am sort of scared that I miss something! And when my batteries on my phone die…..there is definitely a bit of panic, ha.

I agree completely, sometimes we need to get creative and use whatever we can get for content, I also use YouTube videos series on several of my sites, with guides, how-tos and such, they are great for adding more inner pages to money sites.

I guess it also depends on whether your blog is quite personal or not. But again if it is not, I’m sure our readers won’t mind seeing a photo of what their favorite blogger is doing

This is a great idea, I have used a similar way but I do not post on that day, I had a humorous video so my readers can “take a break”, I call it Humor for Humpday:)

A picture is worth a thousand words.
The beauty of personal interpretation when it comes to a photo. We can all look at the same photo but each of us will see the photo differently.
A photo post allows for comments and discussions, thus more traffic for your blog.

Luckily I’ve never had “the block” and don’t expect it anytime soon. I am however actually thinking of starting a photo blog.

I remember a very popular Tenerife blog who had a photo of the day published. This daily photo was also connected to some kind of networking with other blogs worldwide which published outstanding pictures of the day. .
Suddenly, nothing seemed to come forward any more and I wondered why. Perhaps, the links to other photos were not in the interest of the blogger. Any llink which leads away from your blog is not always wise. I have set up links to my flickr by flickr HTML and Flickr flash gadgets to please the surfer with extra information. However, note that It is always better to have your own photo gallery within your blog or website. But that is hard work. My page Christmas photos Christmas led lights Tenerife is the only one where I exchanged the flickr gadget with a tiny photo gallery. To edit photos to make them fit in tables is quite tricky.

This is a great idea! I’ve done a couple of “Picture-story” posts, using when I do a craft or something I want to share, but this post has certainly broaden my horizons. I think video days are also appropriate – I’ll either share a related youtube video or create one of my own. I love variety – it’s a great way to keep readers on their toes.

This is such a great idea! I love blogging but coming up with content every day for 3 blogs has become time consuming and yes… I get that dreaded block! I think it is a great idea IF you use the photo as inspiration and then write about the inspiration. If it is just a photo then that would be a bit boring.

My wife and I took a stroll along the seafront today and I almost took my camera and I wish I did.
There were waves crashing, a brilliant sunset and they would have made some simple but nice photos.
