Loved the post. I am struggling with similar stuff like you (of course in less amount).
One if the first things I learned when I started a blog is not to make comments like “thanks”, “great post”.
As a new blog, after only a few weeks, I had to post a commenting policy.
The worst thing is that some bloggers that are blogging for a while, will make comments that have no connection to my post, or jut make a short comment to get a link back.
I didn’t want to get on anyone’s bad side, but after thinking about it, I realized that it is MY blog and if you don’t want to be nice, I don’t have to be that nice.
So I started deleting comments that are not OK with my commenting policy.
There are so many do-follow blogs I read and so many times I did NOT comment on a post, because I had nothing smart to add. Commenting for a link only is so obvious and I want to keep good relationships with those blogs.
So in that case, I just don’t comment, I will RT and show them in that way that I loved the post.
I hope more people will read this post and realize that some things they do are just dumb and they will get them banned from blogs.

As I know you can not install plugins on blogger as it’s not self hosted! would you explain what you need to do?!
