Hi Tola, It’s just seems you were writing about me! Being a perfectionist, not being given to many guest blogging, wanting to add that post to your own blog and all that. That’s just me.

I truly believe the best should go out. That’s why I’ve only written 2 guest posts so far! And guess what? They are all here in famousbloggers.net. I’m really struggling to grow out of this and I believe reading your story will give me the impectus to do so.

I guess the first experience of doing anything somehow could make us shivering and believe it or not it is the feeling of writing guest posts.

Afraid of being rejected, negative feedback and etc – it could make us stop thinking about guest posting.

But I do believe (as for myself) guest posting is a way to create relationship between guest authors and webmasters plus enhancing your blog performance. And believe it or not, writing at Famous Bloggers is a good kickstart for you in writing guest posts.

Sharing and exploring knowledge is a nice thing

I definitely understand where you’re coming from in regards to giving it your best, and I need to remind myself of that all the time! Especially the part on writing a new post for my blog, lol!

I never thought about it that way, but I instinctively do the same as well. You sort of feel a connection with the writer. I’ll bear that in mind.

It’s not even the rejection, although I’m sure that’s a concern for some as well.

What I’m referring to is the inner fear of “giving up” their best articles, which is the totally wrong mindset.

Tola, I feel your plight! Before I go on with my comment, I must say I’m surprised to see a fellow Nigerian do this awesome work you do. Weldone!
To my comment, let me ask you this question? Would you light a candle and keep it under your bossom? If you’re an expert at what you do, even if you don’t get out to guest post, you will definitely be invited by someone for a seminar or a consulting business. Then would you be considering giving your best?
I see guest posting as a medium for you to reach the larger world with your knowlegde and build your brand.
Ore mi, don’t keep the best and give people what is “OK”
You could try this: whenever you want to write a guest post, have it in mind that if the temptation of dropping it in your blog comes, you’ll simply write a new one for your blog.

How to publish the right gust post? Well, one thing I have noticed from myself is that I tend to like reading “posts” from “blog” rather than posts that read like something as if it comes out of a newspaper or something like an article on cnn.com. It’s important to put a personal flair to make it sound more interesting. One reason why people like reading blog is because they share personal ideas.
