Official Google Blog: A new approach to China: “primary goal of the attackers was accessing the Gmail accounts of Chinese human rights activists”

We have already used information gained from this attack to make infrastructure and architectural improvements that enhance security for Google and for our users. In terms of individual users, we would advise people to deploy reputable anti-virus and anti-spyware programs on their computers, to install patches for their operating systems and to update their web browsers. Always be cautious when clicking on links appearing in instant messages and emails, or when asked to share personal information like passwords online.

China needs to let their people go. Maybe Google should move to Haiti and provide jobs so that they can rebuild.

This will always happen hackers are actually programmers the best thing to do with hackers is employ them they just programmers that lost thier way and we should al know by now not to give out personal details.

Most of the hackers are attacking with Phishing attack.. I always receive phishing links to my gmail id.

You have shared a valuable information. It is necessary to protect our account from hackers. Definitely we have to update our system with the best anti-virus and keep our account safe. And also we should be unique in setting our account.
