I have a few sites with the keywordluv, commentluv and dofollow plugins. They seem to attract a bit of spam but it’s not too bad. And anyway it’s always in our own hands to approve or not approve a comment. It was interesting to read that you set your plugin to only remove the nofollow after a few postings. I didn’t realize that was an option. Quite a good idea.

I hope anyone reading this post who has dofollow blogs that use the CommentLuv KeywordLuv plugins will visit the post I’ll feature in CommentLuv in this comment and leave the links in the comments so I can add them to the list in that post.
Spam is always an issue but it is a small price to pay for supporting other bloggers and businesses and bringing more interaction to our blogs.

Hesham – There may be something wrong with your plugin…I have way more then 3 comments on this blog and even those with 20 or more are showing as no follow.

Maybe the plugin will not count your old comments!
(244 comments) January 31, 2010 at 6:11 pm
OK then Latief left 49 comments in just the last few days? lol
And the second part, why are some do and others not….Lucias can only be set to a maximum of 10

It occurs to me that Lucia’s probably uses the name field to count comments so anyone who uses different keywords will have multiple goals to achieve to ever get anything to go dofollow. The same issue is going to affect Top Commentator plugins.
Dennis Edell has also switched to NoFollow Free. That seems to be the most used plugin for that purpose.
Since WordPress has an option to only allow comments to appear immediately after one has been approved, I wish someone who believes there is merit to making commentators hit some number before their comments go dofollow would explain to me what they see as the benefit.

In a few minutes I will publish a new post about a new WordPress plugin that gives you the option to control Dofollow/Nofollow links in Wordpress blogroll, I see that this is another approve that Dofollow still matter!
Dofollow and Nofollow both are backlinks but nofollow won’t pass the link juice to the link!
(246 comments) June 16, 2010 at 5:58 pm
The benefit is to ensure you’re only giving juice to those that deserve it; regular or even semi-regular commenters, not just fly-by spammers and one-offs only looking for a quick back link

What is the reason you think I switched?
(244 comments) January 31, 2010 at 12:13 pm
I am currently using Lucias also, but had no idea it was now unsupported. Unsupported plugins scare me a bit, so I may switch to NoFollow Free since it has the same feature I like.

Congrats on the move! I’ve been dofollow on b6s.net from the start and I have a couple more dofollow blogs too. I need to install the plug-in on a bunch of other blogs I own. Bookmarked Kristi’s site and will submit my sites when I’m done. I use a regular dofollow plug-in btw.

I can’t remember it bro, I just installed few plugin including do follow, I think it was no follow free or something
BTW, anyone can help? There’s always a message from commentLuv everytime I left comment on commentluv blog. It is said: bad juju just happened,….. why? anyone can help? please…..
(2694 comments) January 31, 2010 at 12:42 am
I think is “bad juju just happened” is a message to tell you there is a problem or error in CommentLuv server!
Do you have an account at ComLuv? have you registered your blog?
(286 comments) January 31, 2010 at 12:50 am
I have an account on CommentLuv and registered my blog, the message shown up about two days after I signed up. Before I created that account I never receive that message.
Any suggestion? Please….

I’m using “Do Follow” plug-in by Denis de Bernardy that I found by doing a search via Wordpress.
I’ve submitted my blog to the DoFollow Directory – it looks great by the way – and hoping to get approved.
Thanks for becoming a DoFollow blog – I see that you’re serious about appreciating and helping your readers – I admire that!

Just letting you know that your comments are not do-follow. I use a firefox plugin that highlights any links that are no-follow and it is high lighting the links in your comments.
I use a plugin found here: http://www.semiologic.com/software/dofollow/ on a couple of my blogs.
(2694 comments) January 31, 2010 at 12:45 am
Of course I know that, I actually set the plugin to remove the nofollow tag after a few comments from the same account, this to keep spammers away from our blog luv unless they are really working hard to get it.

I’m using the NoFollow Free plugin on my blog, it has some brilliant options such as only becoming DoFollow after a certain amount of comments, I used to use Lucia’s Linky Love plugin, but I found this one a lot better
