Privacy page and policy in a certain blog is very much important, I’ve done doing it and it works. It is the one that indicates the visitors to post base on your policy. You made a great article and all are actually great idea.

Thanks for the info here. I just created my disclosure policy for my blog, bayareamommy.com. Although I really want to make it more personal so I guess I’ll still be editing it so that it doesn’t come off as being too canned.

This post really got me thinking about the business side of blogging. Sometimes we tend to forget that as soon as you start generating revenue out of your blogging efforts its already a business and should be treated as such. Thank you, this was eye opening experience.. Going to give it a try myself!

Being non-US based I’m not sure the new FTC guidelines apply to me in the first place, but I put up a policy nonetheless, just to be sure, since on occasion I do paid posts, and since I do have a large US audience. I used disclosurepolicy.org to make my disclosure page, but I also use cmp.ly for marking my posts, since they have nice bagdes that fit the different situations where a disclosure would be needed.
