As a blogger, your goal is to provide your readers with content that solves their problems. That has always been true and always will be when it comes to the internet as we know it. But frankly, just facts is boring. It may help your visitors, but by providing nothing but cold, hard information you may not help yourself as much as you could. When I find a post that is well-written, I promote it. That’s not just me. It’s all of your visitors. Really. Your visitors want content that interest them. That is what will drive them to share and that is what will drive your content and in turn, you, to be a success.
Why is it important?
It’s important to give when it comes to blogging. Because if you do, you will be the one who will benefit the most in the end. Readers won’t share and subscribe to your content if they weren’t pulled in by it. Period. So by giving your blog visitors something valuable to read, you’re actually helping yourself rise to success.
Just a few reasons to write better content.
How easy is it?
People say that writing content for your website should be easy. I fully agree with these people. If writing isn’t easy for you, then it is very likely you aren’t passionate about your niche. Without passion, you won’t reach your blogging goals and you will never be successful. So get the idea out of your head that says that writing is hard, because if it is, you need to rethink your whole blog – not even kidding. Don’t start complaining to me that getting the information was hard enough, and that writing it.
So now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, I think I can start talking more about how all of this is done.
Get to the point.
Readers love it when you don’t beat around the bush. Giving them the answers to their questions quickly and effectively will help your content in a big way.
Visitors have a short attention span. If they don’t see any information that could help them within a few seconds of opening your article, chances are, you’ve failed.
In order to avoid this, you can either give information that keeps the reader on your page, or you can make it easier to find what they’re looking for, preferable both. What do I mean by this? Well, if you’re looking to write content that keeps people with even the shortest attention spans on your blog, you’re going to need to be powerful and interesting, which will be discussed later. If you want to take the approach where you make your content easier to navigate, there’s also a lot to do:
- Structure your posts – use paragraphs, and position them carefully. Every single detail matters when it comes to writing your content.
- Use headings – If a reader is scanning your post like many do before they actually start reading, chances are, they’ll lay an eye on your headings. But this can’t happen if you don’t use them. Using heading can only be to your advantage because headings help your readers find what they’re looking for faster and easier.
- Use bold text – Again, bold text stands out to the reader and this might help them find what they’re looking for. Besides, using bold text also gives your post a different feel than a post where you just put words together to make empty sentences. It also shows that you are willing to make even small efforts to give your readers more.
Be powerful!
Sometimes making your content strong and interesting to your content-hungry readers is as easy as wording it in a different way. This method is all about using powerful words and comparisons in order to keep the reader wanting more.
Smart copywriting is all about writing your content so that it provides information in an interesting way. In order to be interesting, you need to be strong.
Instead of saying “maybe”, say something where you look more sure of yourself, like “a 30% chance”. Being a blogger, you don’t want to look like the one who’s a beginner. You want your readers to feel like they could get a lot from you. You want them to subscribe for more. So a great way to keep your subscriber numbers increasing is to be the authority on your blog.
Prove your point. I can’t believe how many bloggers forget to prove their points in their writing! Just telling readers what you think isn’t going to convince them. You need real proof of everything if you want to win over the hearts of internet users these days. If you want to make an opinion in your writing, that’s fine. As long as you give reasons for it.
Lastly, don’t think of every single argument against the sentences you write. For example, avoid using words like “most”, “almost all”, ‘close to”, and “many”. What you say might not be strictly true and could be arguable, but it will pack some punch into your articles. And even if you do create some controversy, it will only help you become more known on the internet.
Facts aren’t enough anymore. Readers want magnetic content that interests them. And delivering just that will really help you as a blogger.

Yes, i definitely agree with Kristi. If there is a question about the post then we should create a blog post about it, that will be more helpful to them.
But my way is to research which page most of my visitors come from then I’ll complete the post with more information about it.

To me, writing is easy, but writing unique content that people most need is not easy
However the “paragrahp” points is really helping me to revise my articles, as i noticed i had lots of posts with missing paragraphs, i applied some paragraphs and it is indeed looking much better both for me and for my readers.

It’s not easy to write an ultimate content with substantial information, given that it’s hard picking the right words to use specially when you’re aiming for an exceptional entry.
But as long as there is a great value in your idea of content and you can deliver it in a succinct way is all that matters for what I know.

Your article today is an excellent example of what you are writing about today Karan. What I like especially is you’ve broken down your content into bite-sized chunks that make it very easy for the reader to assimilate. If there is a key section, it would be the one on getting to the point. All too often I read a blog entry and find myself asking, what’s the point!

I have to agree with point #2. It seems every other post is dealing with writers block and they just don’t know what to do.
Meanwhile I sit now with over 600 drafts and drafting 1-5 or more everyday as new ideas hit me.
They complain of getting nothing – I wonder how I can sell ideas. LOL

Nice Pointer. A structured post receives more praise then a unstructured one even if it may be lower in quality.
Use of headlines in post beautifies it and enhances its value.

Readers can sense if a writer actually knows what he/she is talking about. They appreciate good content with a lot of effort put into it.
So your best bet is to write about things you’re good at.

Nice touch. Creating a blog is much easier than anything else but how to make it of readers’ interests is challenging. The important points are almost listed but one more point is that “write for public rather than write for us”

I try to follow some structure in my posts with the old: tell em what you’re going to tell them, tell them, tell that what you told. This way, people can jump around the post and always know what it’s about.

Well said. Just like a movie, it has to be compelling. A beginning, a middle and an ending, unless of course it is a series. Non-the-less a blogger should also pay attention to comments as most of the time this is where you not only get new post ideas but actual problems or difficulties someone might have. Answering their question is what makes them come back for more. All in all, great advice and once again, pay attention to what people are saying and asking.

I love this advice to keep returning to and reviewing the quality of your content. One point that resonated for me is to avoid qualifiers and words that dilute the power of your message. I see that’s easy to do if you have a tendency to be “accurate,” but accuracy is relative. Thanks.

I think that best way to get interest of the readers is by solving people problems in your content as you mentioned in the article.
At the end of the article ask your readers to comment if they have any confusion or other problem related to topic and reply to them.
This is the best way you can get the rank of “authority” in your niche.

Great tips.
“Readers love it when you don’t beat around the bush. Giving them the answers to their questions quickly and effectively will help your content in a big way.”
As a reader, I can say that this is absolutely true. Readers do not want to read till the end to find out what the post was actually about. They do not want to wait till the end to find out what the blog post was about. It is important to be to-the-point.
Sometimes, posts are so long that the reader may actually lose interest in the post.
Nabeel
I think one of the easiest ways to give readers what they want is to listen to them. Read what they write on their blogs, what their commenters ask on their blogs that they might not answer well, what they write in your comments, what they write in their comments on other sites, what they post on social networks, etc.
If you see a question that has been asked more than once by your readers, why not do a blog post on it? If you see a blog post on another person’s site and you have a different perspective or additional details, why not add on to it on a post on your blog (but be sure to give credit to the inspiration)?
There are many great ways to find ideas on topics to write about that your readers will love – you just have to get out there and listen to what they have to say!
