One question thou, how do you count the points from Twitter? You mentioned that one should use hashtag #fbcontest2009, but what if people re-tweet the post without the hashtag? Or tweet using the buttons on the post (which won’t automatically include hashtag)?

About counting the tweets, I asked people to use the hash tag, but I think I am going to spend a hard time collecting the tweet from everywhere
it’s optional, but it will make it so much easy if you use it when you promote and ask friends to re-tweet the same link!

The writer can just submit his/her article to the contest, but it won’t work with out promotion! as I said on the contest post above, our contest is basically a mix between (writing and popularity) .. So.. If someone has good writing skills and some popularity both together could lead him to winning one of the 3 prizes.

It is a lot of work, but put it in perspective – there are contests where you have to first write a NOVEL, then submit it with an entry fee, then hope for the best…
You could look at this a number of ways:
1) Too much work!
2) Too much work – but that betters MY odds of winning!
3) Too much work, but it betters my odds of winning, and DANG, that’s a lot of great prizes!
I’m not officially entering, but I completed all the requirements already (I can’t tell others “no excuses” if I haven’t done it, myself, now, can I?) I will be reading and commenting and voting, though!
Hey, Hesham – question – is there a limit on how many times one reader’s comment or Twitter can count for ONE entry?
Can readers comment, Twitter, and vote on Blog Engage for more than one entrant?

Thank you a lot for your opinion, I know it’s lots of work to do, but believe me if you start working on it this will not take more than 1 hour of your work! following us on Twitter, Facebook and subscribing to our feed by email is a matter of one click process!! I do this kind of stuff with out any prizes and I don’t even need someone to tell me or to ask me to do… but here the situation is different.. there is prizes worth the hard work!
I remember I worked for one year on my blogs with out earning $1 and I had to spend on it too
just imagine with this writing contest that I will earn $100 cash in one month doing nothing more than what I do everyday 10 times.. this is cool thing in my opinion!
Did you hear that someone will pay you prizes worth 100s of dollars just for writing an article? (I doubt it!) Tell me where.. I will go and do it!

No, and I should reiterate here that I’m not really entering the contest. I just enjoy a challenge.
Also, I am not a “Famous Blogger” or a sponsor of the contest.
I’d rather run around and vote for the contestants, when the time comes. And I’d rather see someone else win these fantastic promotional prize packages – I don’t want to deplete all my good Karma, and I have already won two contests this week. Time to give someone else a turn, eh?
I am starting to think this one’s going to be far too easy for a lucky handful of entrants to snatch up these great prizes, though, simply because of the effort involved. (It’s a bit more than an hour’s work, Hesham! Harrrumph! Well, it was for me.) But it’s still fun, and worth doing even if you don’t win.
