Every blogger knows about CommentLuv plugin and probably visited ComLuv network already to download the plugin or to register CommentLuv blog. ComLuv got a new theme and design which I think it’s pretty good plan to award CommentLuv enabled blogs all the way and give more exposure and traffic for bloggers who are using the plugin.
Our FamousBloggers.net blog actually popped on ComLuv main page more than once on the old design, and I think there is lots of blogs had the same chance and enjoyed ComLuv traffic. I am just not sure how exactly ComLuv decide which accounts to show on the list before because the factor (number of comments) was not so clear to me, but with the new theme it’s more clear, and also you can see when is the next update under each list!
How to Get listed on ComLuv
Of course all of us knows that getting a link on the main page (home page) of a high PR and heavy traffic site like ComLuv will drive a good amount of traffic to your blog, Andy says on one of his posts that the links on the main page are a dofollow links to members blogs, and it’s actually dofollow links but with no anchor text, the link is attached to an image, which I think it’s not going to give the same value if it was a text link that has anchor text to your blog name or example, but it’s not bad at all to enjoy some Google juice!
ComLuv network update
A little update to this post, I received a respond today from Andy on our guest blogging contest post, he have removed the “visit” image, and replace it with the anchor text of the site name, so probably you will like this update and need to change your site name field if it’s not probably set, I see some members having their account names and some other words seems to be not their primary keywords, so go a head and update your site information, make it the best you can to express your site, enjoy!
There is 3 lists that you may show on, Top 5 Sites list, Top 5 Members list and New CommentLuv Sites list, I am pretty sure you will know when you got listed immediately from your WordPress dashboard stats or any other stats service you are using because you will notice where the site traffic is coming from!
CommentLuv Member Page
Have you updated your CommentLuv Member Page? If not then do it now, because your link will not show on the main page lists unless you have a description of your blog on the Bio of your account, so make sure you have done that!
How to make money from ComLuv?
Actually there has been so many updates and modifications were done by Andy to give chance for any blogger to earn money from ComLuv blog, this post is explaining 3 ways to make money from ComLuv blog.
I have written an earlier post that has useful information about ComLuv and Commentluv and a fast interview with Andy while I was getting some answers to a few question were in my mind and other question from our readers about the error they are getting when they comment on CommentLuv enabled blogs which gives the the message “bad juju just happened”, so if this post doesn’t reply to your questions regarding the network and plugin don’t hesitate to contact Andy directly through ComLuv site, you really don’t waste your time finding wrong answers from anyone who is just guessing.

The group of people connected through commentluv are intrinsically just a cool bunch. We all understand eachother’s goals, and we all appreciate everyone’s connected contribution to eachother. I’ve met several great people and got a decent amount of traffic from the network as well. Don’t think I’ll see the top lists anytime soon
but… Congrats Hesham!
I can’t speak for everybody, but I know that my traffic definitely went up when I installed the commentluv and keywordluv plugins on my blog.
I definitely believe in rewarding my participants and I have seen a definite difference in the activity between blogs that do and don’t link out this way.

I have had the CommentLuv plugin installed for quite a while on my blog now and recently signed up to the member’s area which now enables readers to select which blog post they would like to leave as their post of choice within comments.
This definitely encourages comments and gives the commenter the ability to build links for posts that they want to rank for.
Previously a savvy link building blogger may well have held off on posting to their blog if they wanted to participate on other blogs to build links around their last blog post content since Comment Luv would only display the last post. Of course, the last post may or may not be relevant.
I will be watching my Google Analytics account closely over the coming month to see if there has been any clickthroughs from the member’s area of ComLuv.
Version 2.9 should be released soon which Andy is saying is a major update with more benefits too so I’ll be certainly keeping a keen eye on this one.

I’d try ComLuv, maybe within this week. I’ve been watching ComLuv since long, wanted to implement it in Google Blogger but the integration system is quite troublesome. I wrote a post about it and Andy replied with a looong one at my blog; in fact he was asking if we can help him to directly integrate ComLuv with Blogger comments.
But anyway, I’ll try in Wordpress blog this week.

Hi Jen – Did you also install the GrowMap Anti Spambot (G.A.S.P) plugin? It’s also created by the developer of CommentLuv and knocks out spam before it deposits itself in your comment area for moderation. You’ll find a lot of CL users have good experiences once installing it.

The concept behind CommentLuv is solid. Hoping that spammers do not ruin it for us all by abusing the link love system and resulting in the value of these links diminishing.

Yeah, I was working on the blog theme last weekend, so it toke me 2 days to retheme it, it’s actually the same Thesis theme I was using, but I played with the CSS and Logo and changed the look, glad you like it, I will be writing a killer post about it soon.

CommentLuv is amazing. I just stumbled on this site at 6:30am after a night of exploring this neat little plugin and I’m sold. The amount of information I’ve found and network of people I’ve met is just amazing.

I have CommentLuv on a lot of my websites and have since Andy came up with the idea. It was around the time that comment exchange communities were thriving. The problem with those communities were that people were only commenting on the sites they were assigned. It became a chore for some and a pain to others when some bloggers did not update as much. The system was quite random.
I think people forget that commenting really is important.
