Hi Lawmacs,

These certainly are the basics. I do agree with you about HTML. I’m not sure that I agree with you about Adsense – for a blogger, unless you have massive traffic, I can’t see Adsense being the best way to make money. Perhaps it depends on your niche.

I’d add a fourth thing – grit and determination. You’re not going to make money in a hurry, it takes time and a great deal of hard work. You have to learn to write better and learn which monetization methods work for your particular niche.

Hi there – Nice article and 3 awesome tips! I still consider myself newbie at blogging and earning online. And being from a background of non-tech, I am new to html and css But, for all other newbie, that’s not hard to learn. If I can do it, so can others.

I think the 3 basic items go hand-in-hand. Without good content, there will be no traffic. Without basic html and css, your blog will not stand out and thus… less traffic. Without traffic … your blog and site is as good as a shop without visitors!
